Sunflower House is an affordable housing co-op located at 14th and Tennessee- a perfect distance between downtown and campus. All members in Sunflower House contribute to keeping the house clean, pleasant and functional. Members are encouraged to attend house meals (hosted 4 times a week) as well as house meetings to discuss decisions that the house needs to make. We offer both 6-month and year-long leases, and have a number of rooms available, with prices running from $231-347 a month. Additionally, we charge a flat $75 monthly fee for internet access, utilities and various house fees (cleaning supplies, maintenance, etc.) Finally, we charge approximately $68 a month for 4 weekly meals and access to our bulk food stores of rice, beans, granola, pasta, flour, honey, peanut butter, etc. Supplementary accommodations include music space, exercise space, washers+dryers, attic storage, garden space, office space, art space and game space. Joining Sunflower House is an excellent way to meet new people while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our membership is carefully vetted for safety and dependability. Please note that our lease forbids indoor tobacco use and pet ownership. We do permit service animals such as seeing-eye dogs.
